Blog Excerpt –
No Sacrifice
When I went to Shiloh and dedicated my oldest son Samuel to the house of the Lord, I did so with a heart overflowing with gratitude and elation. Of course l was sad and would miss my little boy terribly, but I also knew without a single doubt that I was doing the right thing. Confidence and assurance in the Lord uplifted my spirit and eased my hurt.
Many mothers have questioned how I could leave my oldest son in such a sinful environment.
Haven’t you heard about Eli’s sons? They are sleeping with the women at the entrance to the tent of meeting? You would leave your son to witness their sin and contempt for the Lord?
Eli is getting old and weak! He does nothing to punish his sons’ wickedness! How can you leave your first born in his care?
My answer is simple – I didn’t leave Samuel in the care of old Eli; I left him in the all-powerful arms of our awesome God!
On my annual visits I can see how Samuel is growing in God’s love. It’s obvious to me that God is working to fulfill all of my prayers, hopes and dreams for my son. He has blessed me a million times over for my sacrifice, making it no sacrifice at all.
There is no one holy like the LORD;
there is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God.
Pour out your hearts to God in prayer! Trust that He will replace your worry and despair with peace! Praise His Spirit, His Power and His Mercy!

Dear God, my Refuge, my Rock, give me the trust in You that Hannah had! Help me to pray fervently and passionately for my children with a joyful, sincere and grateful heart! All glory is yours, Almighty Father! Amen.
I really like how you are doing this A to Z with the different characters posting as if they were blogging. Very, very clever!
I am trying to read all the A to Z blogs, but coming back to the ones I really like.
Looking forward to seeing what you do all month!

Great idea for a theme, and nicely done. I’m trying to visit all the A-Z Challenge blogs this month.

What a neat idea for a blog! I love imagining what Biblical characters would say. I’m visiting from the A to Z Challenge, especially blogs that I can tell are Christian blogs.
I really love this theme you have. Each letter representing a new blog excerpt from a blog of a biblical figure. I especially appreciate the part where Hannah reminds the naysayers Eli wasn’t the one she was leaving her son with. but the Lord Almighty instead.

It would take great faith to do what Hannah did. You share how she has able to do this very clearly. Great writing, Brianna!
